Gaming on Youtube

This post is a bit of a follow on from our previous ‘Advertising on YouTube’ post which looked at some of the creative ways in which YouTube targets’ specific demographics. This is another great execution by NZ Army that has incorporated a number of different games into their YouTube channel to encourage and attract potential recruits. This is news to some people but we recently discovered this Google site that showcases a range of different products already developed and currently being developed by Google themselves. There are some great updates, new products, add-ons, apps, widgets etc. that are available to download for free. Check it out for yourself here

The Future of Touch Screen Technology

Ever since the release of the iTouch, touch screen devices have exploded onto the scene in a big way. All of the big tech players either already have a touch screen device in the market place or are currently working on one. Some of the concepts in this ‘vision of the future’ from ‘TAT’ are probably not actually that much further down the track.

As online ad spend grows and grows so do the variety of platforms offering ad space. Advertisers and their respective agencies are really starting to push the boundaries of how these channels can interact and engage with their consumers. HTML5 – Online Music Video

This new promotional, online music video from Arcade Fire showcases how much of a ‘force to be reckoned with’ HTML5 is really going to be. The interactive video involves the user by taking them on a virtual trip back to the town where they grew up.

16ft Skiff Racing Sponsorship

On Saturdays we race a three-man 16ft. skiff on Sydney harbour from Manly Cove. Mark Murdan at the helm, Kim Grantham on the mainsail and Chris Maden on the kite. What’s unique about Skiffs is that they won’t stay upright by themselves and need all three crew members to constantly be moving their weight to avoid capsizing. It’s probably the hardest and most rewarding sport I’ve ever been involved with, and its in such a picturesque locale.

iPhone Gesture Concept Mobile

The folks of iLounge have held an iPhone Concept Contest at some point and what they got were some pretty neat designs from folks who envisioned their own version of the future iPhones. We’ve stumbled upon the iPhone Gesture concept phone, a device with two more touch-sensitive areas, when compared to the original Apple handset. (more…)
